Coming soon: All the family friendly movies we are excited about this year (and beyond!)
Does anyone else get SUPER EXCITED about new family movies coming out? Cash and I LOVE going to the theater. I love getting a big ole popcorn to share, spending a few hours being enchanted, then downloading the soundtrack in the car on the way home because we are still all pumped up. Plus, kids movies never have surprise depressing endings. I compiled a list for you of all the movies that I could find coming out in the near (and not so near) future, along with links to any trailers that have been released. Enjoy!
Incredibles 2- June 15, 2018
Because: of course.
Hotel Transylvania 3- July 13, 2018
This one looks suuuuper ridiculous and I have low expectations but we'll totally still be going to see it because the first two were really fun.
Christopher Robin- Aug 3, 2018
Basically a Winnie the Pooh version of Hook. I'm not sure how this one is going to turn out, but interested enough to watch it.
The Grinch- Nov 9, 2018
Okay, so don't be mad, but I hated Jim Carey's Grinch movie. Like, can't even sit through it. However, I LOVE the original cartoon, which is why I am all kinds of excited about this movie. I cannot wait.
Wreck it Ralph 2- Nov 21, 2018
Because I'm sure Cash will insist.
Mary Poppins Returns- Dec 25, 2018
Take all of my money, I'll be there Christmas day.
How to Train your Dragon 3- March 1, 2019
We love this whole series, including the Netflix show, so this one is a yes for sure.
Dumbo- end of 2018, March 2019?
I kept finding conflicting info on the release date, and there is no trailer yet, but we will definitely be keeping an eye out, as Disney's live actions have all been amazing so far.
Penguins (Disneynature film)- April 2019
We haven't watched any of the Disneynature films yet, but I want to keep my eye on this one.
Aladdin- May 24, 2019
I can't even think about this without getting insanely excited.
Toy Story 4- June 20, 2019
Another self-explanatory one. I'll be sure and bring Kleenex after they slayed all of us with #3.
Lion King- July 19, 2019
We love the original so hard. I took Cash to see the Broadway version and he is still obsessed. This will be amazing, I have no doubt.
Frozen 2- November 2019
Okay yes the first one is way way way overplayed. But it was overplayed for a reason; the first time I saw it, I walked out of the theater in complete awe. Also, I have a boy child who is obsessed with Pokemon, not Elsa, so I haven't watched it in at least a year....I'll watch the second :)
